Jordan Ultra has been set up as a subset of the run completed on 3rd April 2010 after having completed 262 miles / 420 km in Wadi Arabah. The founders of this race are the runners themselves. We were lucky with Jordan 10. Lucky to have teamed up with the outstanding people at Breakthrough Breast Cancer, to have had the very generous support of HRH Prince Hamzah and HRH Prince Hassan, to have spent a week in a country as beautiful as Jordan with the Bedouin, Jordanian army doctors and policemen, lucky for the opportunity to take on such an immense challenge with all the life experiences that came with it. We were humbled by the immensity of the challenge, but team spirit fought back and the Jordan 10 team completed the challenge and raised almost £85,000 in the process. If you would like to donate – please visit www.jordan10.net. It was as a result of this experience that we thought we had to start the Jordan Ultra.

The organizing TEAM are:

We are very pleased to welcome Royal Jordanian Airlines as our travel partner. They will be aiding with the logistics of all the competitors travel arrangements to Jordan and are committed to support the Jordan Ultras inaugural race in September 2011.

Jamie Taylor will be aiding with the logistics during the race and lending a hand when necessary. Maybe even reminiscing with a few miles.

Jamie’s comment:

‘Go team Jordan Ultra, it is an epic place to visit let alone run such a physically challenging race. Join us in touring the most spectacular country I have ever visited.’

Yusef and his team are well equiped and they know the drill. The Jordan 10 was a huge logistical success which is entirely down to their superb local knowledge, commitment to the race and organisational skills. They come very highly recommended

Dr Abu Khaff and the medical team are going to be join us again. Their presence and support was real boost to morale. They did an excellent job and helped make some tough decisions on some of the runners’ ability to carry on.

They will be joined by a number of physios who we hope will volunteer to join us on this adventure. If you are interested in volunteering please contact us directly on this email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
